Effective date: 11 July 2026. Last updated: 11 July 2026.
This Privacy Policy applies to the I Love Supply Chain website, its calculator pages and the optional engagement functions made available through the official domain. References to “I Love Supply Chain”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean the operator of the website. “You” means a visitor or user of the website.
Our central privacy principle is data minimisation. The website is designed so that most calculators can be used without creating an account, signing in, providing a name or submitting contact information. This policy should be read together with the Cookie Policy, Terms & Conditions, Security page and Disclaimer.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers information processed when you browse pages, use calculators, vote on a calculator, submit a suggestion or contact the website through a provided form. It does not govern independent third-party websites, hosting providers, advertisers, referral partners or payment providers, each of which may publish separate privacy terms.
2. Calculator information
Calculator inputs are intended to be processed locally in your browser. The website does not intentionally send routine calculator entries—such as shipment dimensions, inventory quantities, costs, stock values, warehouse capacity figures or delivery information—to the engagement endpoint. Calculator results are not associated with a user account because no account is required.
You remain responsible for deciding what information is appropriate to enter. Do not enter personal information, confidential supplier data, commercially sensitive prices, controlled information or information that your employer, customer or contract prohibits you from using in an online tool.
3. Information you voluntarily provide
If you use a suggestion, feedback or contact form, we process the text you choose to submit. Depending on the form design, you may be asked to select a topic such as tool suggestion, formula concern, website issue, security matter or business enquiry. The standard feedback system is designed not to require your name or email address. If you voluntarily include identifying or contact information in the message text, that information will be processed as part of your submission.
We use submissions to investigate errors, improve tools, prioritise new calculators, respond where a response method is available, protect the service and understand recurring user needs. Suggestions may be retained for product planning and quality assurance.
4. Aggregate visitor counts and votes
The website may count one visit per browser session. Session storage can be used to remember that a visit has already been counted during the current browsing session. The central counter stores an aggregate number rather than a named visitor profile.
Calculator votes may be recorded as an upvote or downvote associated with a calculator identifier. Local storage may remember your choice in that browser so the interface can display your selected vote and reduce repeated voting. The server-side record is intended to contain aggregate counts, not a personal voting history connected to a known identity.
5. Technical data and server logs
When you request a webpage or submit feedback, internet systems necessarily process technical information needed to deliver the request. Depending on the hosting configuration, the hosting provider or server may log an IP address, request time, page path, response status, referrer, browser type, device information and error details. Such records are commonly generated for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, capacity management and service availability.
We do not use application-level IP logging to build user profiles. However, infrastructure logs may exist under the control of the hosting provider. Access should be limited, and logs should be retained only for a proportionate period consistent with security and operational requirements.
6. Browser storage and cookies
The website may use session storage and local storage for functional purposes, including visit counting within a session, remembering a calculator vote and enforcing a browser-based PDF cooldown. These technologies store values on your device. They do not, by themselves, reveal your name or email address.
The core website does not require advertising cookies or behavioural profiling cookies. If analytics, advertising, referral tracking or payment services are added, the Cookie Policy and this Privacy Policy will be updated, and consent controls will be introduced where required by applicable law.
7. Purposes and lawful grounds
Information is processed to provide requested website functions, maintain security, prevent abuse, measure aggregate use, receive feedback, correct calculation errors and improve the service. Depending on the applicable jurisdiction, the lawful basis may include performance of a requested service, legitimate interests in operating and securing a public tool website, compliance with legal obligations or consent where consent is required.
Our legitimate interests include maintaining reliable calculators, understanding whether tools are helpful, responding to defects and protecting the website from misuse. We seek to balance those interests against visitor rights by limiting collection and avoiding account-based tracking.
8. Sharing and service providers
We may rely on service providers for web hosting, domain registration, content delivery, security, backups and email or form delivery. These providers may process technical data on our behalf or under their own terms. We do not sell personal information.
Information may be disclosed if reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a lawful request, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce the Terms & Conditions, or protect legal rights. If the website or its assets are transferred, relevant operational records may be included subject to applicable law.
9. International processing
The website may be accessed globally, and service providers may operate in countries different from your own. As a result, technical data or submissions may be processed internationally. Where required, reasonable contractual, organisational or legal safeguards should be used for transfers.
10. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including security, dispute resolution, legal compliance and product improvement. Aggregate counters may be retained for the life of the service. Suggestions may be kept until reviewed and for a reasonable product-history period. Infrastructure logs are subject to hosting-provider settings and security needs.
Local browser values remain on your device until they expire, are replaced or are cleared through browser controls. A browser-based PDF cooldown may expire automatically after the specified period.
11. Security
We use a security-by-design approach, data minimisation, input length limits, basic sanitisation, restricted file access and HTTPS when deployed. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Read the Security page for further detail.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. Because the website generally does not create named accounts and may not collect information that directly identifies you, we may be unable to locate a record without sufficient details. We may request reasonable information to verify a request and protect other users.
You can clear cookies, local storage and session storage through browser settings. You can stop using the website, avoid optional forms and decline to include identifying information in suggestions. You may also contact us through the Contact page with a privacy question.
13. Children's privacy
The website is intended as a professional and educational tool and is not directed specifically to young children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information may contact us to request review and deletion where applicable.
14. Automated decisions
The website does not use personal data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Calculator outputs are mathematical planning results based on user-provided inputs and are not personal profiling decisions.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in functionality, law, hosting, advertising, analytics or service providers. The updated date will be shown at the top. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
16. Contact
Use the Contact page for privacy questions, rights requests or concerns. Please provide enough information to understand the request, but do not send passwords, confidential third-party data or unnecessary identity documents.
