Cookie Policy

This policy explains cookies, local storage, session storage and similar browser technologies used by I Love Supply Chain.

Effective date: 11 July 2026. Last updated: 11 July 2026.

This Cookie Policy explains how I Love Supply Chain uses cookies and related browser technologies. It should be read with the Privacy Policy. The core calculator service is intentionally designed to work with minimal browser storage and without advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text records that a website or service may ask a browser to store on a device. Cookies can support essential functions, remember choices, maintain sessions, measure use, prevent abuse or support advertising. Some cookies are deleted when the browser closes, while others remain until they expire or are removed.

2. Similar technologies

Websites can also use local storage, session storage, pixels, software-development kits, cache storage and other technologies. Local storage generally remains until cleared or replaced. Session storage generally lasts for the current browser tab or session. These technologies can remember simple values without sending them automatically with every page request.

3. Technologies currently used

I Love Supply Chain may use session storage to count one visit per browser session, local storage to remember a calculator vote, and local storage to apply a browser-based cooldown to free branded PDF exports. These are functional uses intended to make the website operate consistently and reduce repeated actions.

The engagement endpoint may maintain aggregate visit totals, calculator votes and suggestion text on the server. Those server records are not browser cookies. The website does not intentionally place a user identifier in a server-side advertising profile.

4. Strictly necessary and functional storage

Strictly necessary technologies are required to deliver a service requested by a user or to protect the website. Functional technologies remember choices that improve the experience. The current session and local storage values support visit counting, vote display and PDF cooldown behaviour. Disabling or clearing them will not normally prevent calculator formulas from working, but it may reset the counter logic, vote display or cooldown indicator.

5. Analytics

The current core build does not require full behavioural analytics. Aggregate visitor counting and calculator votes provide limited product information without creating a detailed user profile. If a separate analytics platform is introduced, this policy will identify the provider, purposes, retention and available controls. Consent will be requested where required.

6. Advertising and referral technologies

The current core build can operate without advertising cookies. If advertising or affiliate referral links are activated, third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies to measure impressions, prevent fraud, attribute referrals, limit ad frequency or personalise advertising. Those services may process device, network and browsing information under their own policies.

Non-essential advertising or profiling technologies will not be represented as essential. Where applicable law requires consent, they should remain disabled until valid consent is obtained. Visitors should be offered a clear way to reject non-essential technologies without losing access to the core calculators.

7. Payment technologies

If pay-per-report or other payment functionality is introduced, the payment provider may use cookies and security technologies necessary to process transactions, prevent fraud and comply with financial regulation. I Love Supply Chain should avoid storing full payment-card details directly. Payment-provider terms and privacy notices will govern their processing.

8. Current browser-storage list

The following values may be used in the current version:

  • Visit session indicator: stored in session storage to avoid counting each page view as a separate visitor during the same browser session.
  • Calculator vote: stored in local storage using a calculator-specific key so the interface can remember whether that browser selected Yes or No.
  • PDF cooldown: stored in local storage to remember when a free branded PDF was generated and display the remaining waiting period.

Exact key names may change during technical updates. These values are not intended to contain names, email addresses or calculator inputs.

9. Duration

Session-storage values usually expire when the relevant browser session ends, although browser behaviour can vary. Vote values may remain until cleared or changed. PDF cooldown values are intended to remain for the cooldown period and may persist longer as an inactive timestamp until replaced or removed. Server-side aggregate counts may be retained for service history.

10. Managing cookies and storage

Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies and site data. Controls are commonly found under privacy, security or site settings. You may also use private browsing, although storage behaviour differs among browsers. Blocking all storage may reset optional functions but should not normally prevent basic calculator use.

Clearing browser data can remove a stored vote or cooldown indicator. Using another browser or device creates separate storage. The current cooldown is a lightweight browser control and is not represented as tamper-proof identity enforcement.

11. Do Not Track and global privacy controls

Browser signals such as Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are evolving and may have different legal effects. The core website avoids behavioural advertising by default. If third-party services are added, we will assess applicable obligations and configure available signals where technically and legally appropriate.

12. Third-party content

External websites reached through links may set their own cookies. I Love Supply Chain does not control those technologies. Review the external provider's cookie and privacy information before interacting with its content or services.

13. Consent management

A cookie banner is not displayed merely for decoration. If the website uses only strictly necessary or equivalent functional technologies, a banner may not be required in every jurisdiction. If non-essential analytics, advertising or personalisation technologies are introduced, an appropriate consent mechanism will be implemented where required, with options to accept, reject or manage categories.

14. Updates

This policy will be updated when storage practices, advertising, analytics, payment functions or legal requirements change. The revised date will appear above. Material changes may be announced on the website.

15. Contact

Questions about cookies or browser storage may be submitted through the Contact page. For broader information about data handling, read the Privacy Policy.
